After School Programs
After School: Our program
provides homework supervisors, nutritious snacks and plenty of outdoor
play so your child may "blow off steam" after a hard day at
school. Play centers fill the classroom. Our art center has a variety
of paints, markers, drawing pencils and various papers. Our game center
contains various card and board games. Children enjoy legos, blocks
and other building materials in our manipulative center. Imaginations
run wild in our dramatic play center. Finally, last but not least, is
our technology center. Our technology center contains the latest, most
popular versions of electronic gaming*.
Summer: We work hard to ensure our school age children
have a summer to remember. Along with our traditional centers, we plan
field trips at least three days a week during the summer months; bowling,
Chuck -E-Cheese, Putt- Putt Golf, Laser Tag, Bayou Zoo, Texas Rock Climbing
Gym, and Moody Gardens are just a few places our summer camp kids have
enjoyed. Every summer, all summer long, our camp kids enjoy swimming
one day a week at the League City Pool.
In June, we spend a lot of time outdoors. We organize kick ball and
wuffle ball games and have water day (each week). We have a blast playing
water games like, the bucket toss, duck-duck splash, and water limbo.
Did I forget to mention, our summer campers enjoy arts and crafts and
home made snow cones and/or ice cream each week?
Now that we covered the fun. Let's talk about academics during the summer.
We have a classroom computer loaded with learning software for each
grade level (K-5). Our summer campers may sharpen their academic skills
anytime during the summer months, in a fun interactive way. We also
have the ability to print a report for parents showing their child's
progress on our computer tutorials.
